ARC TECHNOLOGY ARC is a
technology (Patent Pending) by stealth that silently shields the database and monitors
all the communication directed to the database in real time. It
gathers adequate information to know who from where is asking what
from database and acts is real time to determine what need to be given
to whom. It delivers according to the security policy and maintains
the audit trail of what was given to whom and when for every
transaction.
ARC can identify users sitting behind application or web
Its protective shield can span across distributed and
heterogeneous databases
It is application and database agnostic
It can also make distributed and heterogeneous databases to
appear as one virtual database
It can enforce heuristic policy at cell level
It provides Central management of policy and audit for
distributed database
ARC acts as a proxy TDS/TNS/UDB listener and intercepts all the
communication directed to the database server; on the fly reverse
engineers the SQL commands and validated them against the security
policies. Database server actually responds to the modified query and
the returned result set is passed on to the originator. If required,
output can be encrypted.
The ARC intercept provides the basic mechanism using which caching,
access control and redundancy for load balancing, hot stand by or TMR
can be implemented without touching the application. ARC intercept is
the basic component in all ARC products that use either client level
or server level intercepts for various purposes.
ARC Technology is primarily designed for
Real time Security Monitoring
Centralized security monitoring of distributed databases
Real Time Enforcement of security policy
Application independent access control enforced centrally
Federation of Databases in Real time
Treat distributed heterogeneous databases as if it is one large
database
Centralized auditing and compliance reporting
