ARC PRODUCT FAMILY
Hippocratic Security is the standard feature of all products in ARC
family ARC products are placed in two different categories
1. Real Time Database Security (Application Independent and
Database Independent)
a. Enterprise Level Security
b. Divisional/Departmental Level Security
2. Real Time Database Virtualization (Federation of Databases)
Database Federation (synonymously used for database virtualization)
is usually referred as collection of databases and normally realized
thru virtualization technology.
ARC Lite
ARC Lite is the entry level product for securing the database. This
is suitable for deployment at departmental level where limited
Database users would access departmental applications. Although the
technology is same as Enterprise Security Product, the deployment
architecture is different. ARC Lite moves some of the functions (SQL
Interception) at the client level . The main reason for this is to enable
deployment without need to reconfigure Database Server
ARC Enterprise
ARC enterprise level product for securing databases that are
used by enterprise wide users. It provides full functionality and uses the same technology but the deployment architecture
is highly scalable and all the functionalities are implemented at
server level.
ARC Virtual Data Source
ARC Virtual Data source is a multiplexed network of Enterprise servers managed by ARC Name
Server that uniquely identifies the granular data elements. The node
at the root of Federation provides connectivity to various data
consumers. Those see the Federation as one big database containing the
tables of all the member databases thru virtual schema. The
distributed processing of SQL queries is transparent to the data
consumers.
